Our Slatmills

At Fit4Paws, we have chosen to use Firepaw Dog Mills, made in Bulgaria, specifically just for dogs. Firepaw dog treadmills are, in our opinion, and generally accepted as, the best treadmills for dogs.

Firepaw is a company founded by the dog lovers Lyubomir (robotic engineer) and his son Georgi (semiotician), with the ambition to provide the European market with the highest quality, personalised, customised, Dog Treadmills and dog workout equipment.

Firepaw Treadmills are uniquely designed, and dog-specific, to leverage the way a dog moves,  thinks, and learns.

Mechanical freewheeling movement only!

Firepaw treadmills are exclusively mechanical, NO MOTORS, NO POWER. Your dog cannot be forced to run, they can stop anytime if don’t want to run, or experiences a trauma. This is impossible with popular generic electric treadmills designed for either hoomans or dogs. In addition, the dog can achieve its maximum in speed or stamina. Enabling not only their full physical potential, but more importantly, their physical, mental and genetic satisfaction for running. This in turn, can be extremely helpful in reducing destructive or unwanted behaviours. Movement on the mill is totally and solely controlled by the dog itself.

Two main types of treadmill for dogs, made by Firepaw, are the Slatmill and Carpetmill, both with impact absorbing spring cushioned running deck. Currently Fit4Paws uses two Slatmills, with plans for a Carpetmill in the near future. Our slatmills have also been upgraded with workout computer, disc brakes, lower friction/noise silicon rollers and impact absorbing resin slatts.
